Farmers training on an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) project in Ogun state. The activity carried out is called “Scouting” which is a process of monitoring and examining of one’s farm for pest activities and identify the level of infestation for the purpose of taking swift actions where necessary.
Farmers were given picture samples of insects to look out for and guided on how to determine if the insect was a pest (which is economically harmful to the farm) or a beneficial insect (which is advantageous in the farm)
