A farm activity called Scouting was conducted to identify Beneficial Insects and Harmful Insects pest found in cotton field in Kano State. This is to determine the level of build of Beneficial Insects and the reduction of harmful insect pest. During the course of the training and sensitization It was discovered that there was a high build up of beneficial insects in Kano Farmers’ Cotton fields and resulting reduction in the presence of harmful insect pest. Farmers were trained on how to identify and differentiate between pests and beneficial insect.
