Mr Anibe Achimugu (Managing Director)

mdMr Achimugu is the Managing Director of ArewaCotton and holds an MBA from Southern Cross University, Australia, and a BSC in Accounting from the University of Jos. He has over 20 years of direct and indirect experience in the Nigerian and International Cotton business; this includes a stint in Arewa Textiles Plc and Plexus Cotton, UK.
He has attended several National and international courses in different aspects of cotton production, leadership and business management that has further enhanced his knowledge and understanding of the entire cotton processing and trading business.

This knowledge and understanding he brings to bear on ArewaCotton, striving to ensure that international standards and best practices are adhered to.



Amodu Achema (Deputy General Manager)

A graduate of Political sciences from the University of Maiduguri and a Masters holder in International Relations from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Mr Achema has the all-important contacts and buying experience needed to provide ArewaCotton with all the raw materials it needs

Mr Achema has worked in both the textile and the cotton industry and gained considerable experience spanning over the last twenty-two (22) years. The time he spent in the textile industry further exposed him to the art of Cotton buying, selling and quality processes, which of course has proven invaluable to the Trade division he heads.


Eugene E. Otaigbe (AGM, Corporate Finance)

Mr Otaigbe has a distinguished banking career, with over 13 years experience in the banking industry, from where he resigned to lead a dynamic crop of Investment and Capital Market Operators in Allied Capital Ventures Limited as a senior partner
During his banking career, Mr Otaigbe managed portfolios in Treasury, Corporate Banking and Multilateral Agency Credits and facilitated a sizeable number of companies' Private Placement, Initial Public Offer and participated in Mergers and Acquisition of Banks and other Financial Institutions.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and a Master of Science Degree in Finance in View from the Univeristy of Lagos. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, and Portfolio & Debt Management Institute if Nigeria

This knowledge and understanding he is bringing to bare on ArewaCotton and striving to bring into practice in the Nigerian Cotton sector to ensure that international standards and best practices are imbibed.


Moses Chourombo (Farming Operations Manager)

Mr Chourombo is the Farming Operations Manager at ArewaCotton. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture and a Masters Degree in Tropical Entomology from the University of Zimbabwe, and has extensive knowledge in research, project management and extension services.

Having attended several courses in Cotton Production, Credit Management, Performance Management, Quality Audit and Train the Trainer courses, Moses has extensive knowledge of cotton production and procurement systems gained in the Zimbabwe cotton industry. He brings his over 10 years of experience into ArewaCotton’s Farming Operations.


Allen Chaminuka (Ginning Operations Manager)

Mr Allen Chaminuka is a Chartered Engineer by profession with extensive experience in Cotton Processing and Management with the Cotton Company of Zimbabwe and Cargill Cotton. He has a Diploma in Management for Executives with the University of Zimbabwe and is a trained Production and Quality Assurance Engineer from City And Guilds of London Institute.

As the Ginning Operations Manager, Allen brings his wealth of experience of over 20 years in Ginning, Textile Spinning and Weaving Mills to managing ArewaCotton’s ginneries, ensuring the highest standards of production and quality control.


Adebayo Olayemi (Regional Manager, Southwest)

mr-bayoBayo has over 17 years experience in Audit, Taxation, Strategic Management and Financial Statement Analysis. He has a Higher National Diploma (HND) graduate of Accountancy from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos since 1991, and an Associate member of both The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria.
He had attended various managerial courses in Customer Service Excellence, Initiative Thinking Process, Selling and Marketing Skills etc, comprehensive banking operations, Real Estate Investment Trust scheme (REIT’s), People and team management workshops.
Mr Olayemi is currently the Regional Manager, Southwest, overseeing ArewaCotton's expansion in the region.


Mr Aminu Abbass (Corporate Affairs Manager)

Mr Abbass holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He worked in the Banking Industry where he rose to the ranks of Head of Branch and Foreign Operations, a position he held for over 15 years. 

As Corporate Affairs Manager in ArewaCotton, Mr Abbass will help guide the image profiling efforts of ArewaCotton, playing a key role in shaping the company's policy initiatives, and ensuring professional interation with stakeholders.


Mr Unubi Salifu (Internal Auditor)

auditorMr Unubi Salifu holds an MBA from Bayero University, Kano, and has a degree in accounting from the University of Jos. Unubi has over 14 years work experience as an accountant with Isi-Chips Ltd. He also worked as a Senior Investment Executive with Monument Securities and Finance Ltd, and as an Auditor/Field Inspector with Intercontinental and Access banks respectively.

He brings his wealth of experience and professionalism in Audit to ArewaCotton, having attended several courses on Internal Control. This is invaluable to us as we expand our operations, to strenghten our internal control which is a critical success factor.
